I am the Yi minority from the southwest frontier of China. I obtained my BA from the Communication University of China and MA from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

I have committed to ethnic minority cultural inheritance, cultural exchange, education, environmental protection, and feminism.

 

I worked for multiple professional organizations, including Yunnan Radio and Television Station, China, Dianchi College, Yunnan University, China, and Goldsmiths Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance, University of London, UK.

 

I professionally engaged in a wide range of interdisciplinary work fields and various occupations, such as TV program hostess, large-scale cultural event hostess, Chinese-English bilingual hostess of international cultural exchange events, location reporter, newscaster, TV program narrator, undergraduate program director, university lecturer, international Chinese teacher, and university cultural event organizer at home and abroad.

 

I acted as a Chinese-English bilingual hostess in a variety of international, national, and provincial large-scale events related to sports, economic and trade, cultural, art, and tourism, such as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, the China-South Asia Exposition, the Chinese New Year Reception at Chinese Consulate General in Manchester, UK, and the Yunnan Province Tourism Promotion Conference in Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asian Countries.

 

I excel at performing Chinese ethnic dance and instruments, vocal music, and painting. I played roles in TV dramas.

 

I have won numerous honors and awards in teaching, cultural, and art contests.

 

I have visited many countries and met people with diverse cultural backgrounds, having sensitive trans-cultural awareness and hands-on experience in trans-cultural and trans-language communication.

 

I have strong language skills, acute insight into audience needs, impromptu response to emergencies, the ability to control the scene and guide the positive direction of values, and the ability to achieve effective communication with audiences.

 

Over the years, I have accumulated rich work experience in mass communication, language and trans-language communication, cultural and intercultural communication, and educational communication, building a solid foundation for future communication research.

 

In the future, I want to make a breakthrough in the field of communication studies.
